Trouble in Paradise

Well, we've hit a bit of a snag. Shortly after rebuilding the carburetor, Walter and I decided to take the old girl down to the hotrod shop that I work at to see what needed doing. We managed to drive the darn thing to the nearest gas station, and the driveshaft fell off. The bolts had rusted and snapped under the pressure. Also, once back at the shop, we discovered that every square inch of rubber on the truck needed replacing. I guess that's what you get from sitting outside for twenty years. Anyway, my boss gave Walter a $2000 estimate to get everything back into proper running order. I hope that Walter does take it seriously and decides to invest the money. You just don't see these old beasts anymore.

The Beast Lives

1969 Ford Bronco

Before she was parked, the old girl had her original 5.0L 302 rebuilt, which was good news for Walter and I. While a little rough, the engine in now running, but needs the carb rebuilt. Luckily, a kit is only $20.00, so we'll be doing that ourselves.
